Gitano House is a space that unites with the beauty of it’s surroundings. Located in the village of Kabalana, with the backdrop of the jungle and the smell of the salty sea in the air. The unique garden encapsulates the property with a water body outside the garden suites and swimming pool to the rear, GH has a feeling of tranquility. The six rooms look out towards the jungle and are touched by the afternoon sun. 

 

Connecting to the garden is a Moroccan inspired lounge area with rugs, cushions, tables, books and magazines, next to the kitchen. Here you can enjoy the atmosphere overlooking the property while having a drink and something to eat throughout the day. 

 

Our dining table is used for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is too surrounded by foliage and is candlelit by night. 

 

Our best vantage point is on the rooftop where we have daily yoga sessions (morning at 8am and evening at 5pm) and you can also see the ocean from this area.

 

Gitano House came to life with the work of Arabinda and Harshini Fernando, well reknowned landscape designers who have kept us driven with their passion and love of their work and life. Husband and wife team create landscapes that bring energy, style and admiration. Their greatest talent is working with stone- creating the Mexican, Peruvian garden that you see at GH @dramaticdesigns

 

Working with interior designer, Avisha De Saram, has too been an absolute privilege and dream, her eye for detail and design is extraordinary @avishadesaraminteriors
